Oben & Roberts have developed an ongoing practice that incorporates installation with participation art. Together they create atmospheric environments that blur the boundaries between reality and fiction, life and art. The viewer enters the constructed space to become immersed within a narrative of their own creation, in doing so they become protagonist, actor, subject, object, and participant within the work. Thus the viewer is a primary material without whom the work would not be activated or complete.
